Thelma Broxey-Thomas is a 1994 graduate from Park College. The standout on the women’s track & field team may be most known for her 1992 and 1993 seasons, where she accumulated Top 10 marks in seven different events in Park’s All-Time records which is the most of any other women’s track & field athlete that’s competed at Park. She owns the 100m Hurdles record at Park set in 1992 with a 14.05 and she also served as a link in the fastest 4x100m relay team in Park’s history with a 47.19 the same year. The 100m Hurdles specialist was a two-time NAIA All-American before coming to Park under Head Coach Brian Renshaw at Tarkio College. Renshaw and Broxey would continue their NAIA National Championship appearances with the Park Pirates in 1992. In her opening season as a Pirate, she continued the trend as an NAIA All-American at outdoor nationals in the 100m Hurdles, placing 5th with a 14.52. She would once again establish herself at the national level in 1993, where she was an indoor and outdoor NAIA All-American with 6th in the 60-Yard Hurdles and again cracked the top 6 at outdoor nationals in the 100m Hurdles. She closed out her career with three NAIA All-American honors at Park and had five such accolades in her collegiate career.
