Wall of Honor
Robert Palmer, a 2012 graduate of Park University, has been a soccer sensation from the moment he arrived on campus in Parkville to his polished professional indoor soccer career spanning over 10 years. The four-year star had an excellent career at Park and achieved many accolades, including a 2008 MCAC Freshman of the Year award and had multiple AMC First Team All-Conference seasons. He came into Park at a pivotal time and helped the Pirates to an NAIA Opening Round appearance in 2008. Palmer played on the back-line for the Pirates and contributed to 25 shutouts from 2008-2011. As a defender, Palmer managed to score six goals over his Park career with 19 shots on goal. Moving into the professional ranks, he has some outstanding professional indoor soccer accomplishments, including an MISL Championship in 2014 with the Missouri Comets, as well as earning two MASL Defender of the Year awards, and being named a three-time Elite Six honoree. His name will remain in prominence as the first player to surpass 300 career blocks in the MASL, setting two significant league records in 2023-24 as the career blocks record holder at 339 and the single-season blocks record holder at 86.
