Tubei is one of the most storied members of the Park University men’s cross country and track & field teams in school history. In his prolific career, he earned 11 first place finishes between 2010 and 2014 during outdoor track & field seasons. He had success on the biggest stage as a back-to-back NAIA National Champion in the marathon in 2011 and 2012. The long-distance specialist also is a five-time NAIA All-American. Hailing from Kapsabet, Kenya, his name sits at the top of the record books in Park University history in the Half Marathon and Marathon events, and also holds the fastest time at Park in the men’s 8K with a 24:07. Additionally, Tubei holds the second fastest 10,000m and fourth fastest 5,000m times in school history.
His achievements at Park would serve as a forerunner to his greatest life accomplishments after graduation in 2014 as a husband, father, and business owner. Tubei has been a shining light through many stages of life and continues to model the character ideals Park University embraces.
