Park University (MO)

On the 30^th year of Park softball and the 150th anniversary of the institution, Sherry (Faulconer) Bowmar dropped anchor in the 2025 Park Athletics Wall of Honor. The pitcher from Grain Valley, Mo. had a legendary four-year career and began to run the table in the NAIA her sophomore season in 2002, ranking 19^th in the nation with over 7 strikeouts per 7 innings. That same year, the NAIA Region V 2^nd Team award winner tossed the first perfect game in program history with 13 strikeouts of 18 batters faced against Ottawa University and was named the NAIA National Pitcher of the Week on April, 9^th 2002. She had 18 of the Pirates’ 22 wins that season and her school record for 152 strikeouts and 179 assists in a season still stand at the time of her induction to the Wall of Honor. She had her lowest ERA of her career in her senior campaign at 1.47 and claimed more records. 21 years later she remains the school record holder in career complete games at 62, career strikeouts at 458, and career innings pitched at 504.2. She also is within the top 10 in eight other categories.
