Lundy has served as head coach of the Park University baseball program since 2003 and is a Park alumnus from the class of 1982, where he played baseball, basketball, and cross country. He has 20 full seasons at the helm of the Pirates having guided his team to three regionals, two regional championship games and one conference tournament championship. Not only is he the active wins leader of Park baseball with 470 wins as of 2022, but also has the most wins of any other coach in Park Athletics history in one sport. He has been consistent over his tenure with 15 seasons with 20 or more wins.  Lundy has been one of the foremost ambassadors of Park University off the field, representing well from his teams’ involvement in the community to giving back as a head coach in the Ban Johnson Collegiate Baseball League. Following the 2016 summer season he was inducted into the Ban Johnson League Hall of Fame and also took home the league’s 35 Year Service Award in 2021.
He has continued to bring the best out of this student-athletes and is an excellent advocate of his players once their time at Park ends. He has coached two MLB Draft picks, one NAIA All-American, one Google Cloud Academic All-District Team recipient, and one European 4-Year Player of the Year.
