Wall of Honor
Hailing from Yaracuy, Venezuela, Rob Cordero comes to the top of mind when thinking about some of the greats that have come out of the Park men’s volleyball program. Cordero solidified himself as one of the most impressive setters to take the court in Breckon Sports Center from 2011-2014 with 4,384 career assists. Cordero and his teammates appeared in three consecutive NAIA National Invitational Tournament Championship matches from 2012-2014, coming away with the ultimate prize of two titles in 2012 and 2014. He wrapped up his career as a three-time NAIA All-Tournament team member and was selected to the highest honor as the 2014 NAIA Tournament MVP. This just scratches the surface of his mountain of accomplishments, which also includes being a three-time AVCA All-American (2011, 2013, 2014), a 2012 MAMVIC West Setter of the Year, a three-time conference regular season champion, a two-time conference tournament champion, and a 2014 NAIA Setter of the Week. As a Park assistant coach, he also has been part of several championship runs including three more NAIA National Championships claimed by the women’s volleyball program in 2014 with a perfect 40-0 season and in 2018, another men’s national championship in 2017, and a semifinalist and runner-up appearance with the Park women in 2016 and 2021.Â
