A 2006-07 First-Team All-American and Basketball Times Co-NAIA Player of the Year, Voorhees led Park University to the 2007 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship, leading NAIA Division I Men's Basketball in scoring at 25.2 points per game. A Grandville, Michigan native, Voorhees had 10 games of 30 or more points, reaching double-digits in 30 of Park's 31 games and reaching at least 20 points 22 times during the season. Voorhees threatened a Park record for single-game points in the team's second game during the 2006-07 season, pouring in 39 points against Midland Lutheran College, and his three other 35-point nights came against quite a list, scoring 35 against Mountain State, 37 against College of the Ozarks, and 36 in a win over then-No. 1 MidAmerica Nazarene University. He finished the season on two All-America teams and led the Pirates to the second round of the NAIA national tournament.
