The No. 3 nationally ranked Park University men's volleyball program was in Sioux Center, Iowa for a matchup with Dordt Univerisity. The Pirates had the leg up on Dordt the entire way and won in straight sets, 25-19, 25-17, 25-16.
Park hit .341, while holding Dordt to only a .051 hitting percentage.The Pirates finished the match on a high note with 17 kills and hitting .500.
Park more than doubled the Defenders blocks, 11 to five.Â
Adrian Figueroa and
Leonardo Maldonado put in work offensively with 13 and 11 kills, respectively.
Murillo Silva was next in line with seven kills.
Maldonado and Silva also had all the aces for Park, as each had two apiece.
Moises Ortiz and
Mihailo Ivanovic led the blocking effort. Five blocks were sent back by Ortiz and Ivanovic was right there with four.
Figueroa co-led in digs with
Veljko Stojic with five.
