The No. 3 nationally ranked Park University men's volleyball program was in St. Louis, Mo. on Saturday, February 28. The Pirates got the clean sweep over the Spartans, 25-20, 25-22, 25-16.
For Park, they hit .405 as a team compared to .238 for Missouri Baptist, including the third set when Park hit .579.
Adrian Figueroa was the leader for the Pirates with 23 kills, while
Murillo Silva and
Leonardo Maldonado were the next leaders with seven and four kills.
The Pirates had the advantage from the service line with six service aces and 11 errors to only one service ace and 14 service errors.
Jovan Nikolic and
Umberto Caleca tag teamed it at setter with 28 assists for Nikolic and eight for Caleca.
Moises Ortiz had five blocks to lead Park, while
Veljko Stojic and Maldonado co-led with six digs.
