The Park University competitive cheer program was in action for the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Pirates placed 5th in the competition.
The Pirates peaked at the right time with their season's best with a score of 83.81. Three teams from the Heart were in the 90s, including 1st place Missouri Valley at 92.92, the runner-up Grand View at 90.62, and Baker with a 90.45 for 3rd.
The Pirates had two Heart All-Conference members, including
Ethan Tolin, a first-year Pirate, who landed a 2nd Team All-Conference award; and
Andrew Padilla with an All-Conference Honorable Mention accolade.
