Palmer O'Connor of the Park University Track & Field and Cross Country programs competed in Eugene, Or. at the USATF U20 Championships on Thursday and Friday this past week.

Palmer, of De Soto, Kan., finished out his freshman season as a national qualifier with the men's 4x800m relay team and was the 2025 Heart of America Athletic Conference 1,500m Champion.

He qualified to the U20 Championships with times of 1:52.18 and 3:57.85 in the 800m and 1,500m, both within the top 10 in Park's all-time records.

Hayward Field at the University of Oregon was the site for the championships, where O'Connor would place 7^th in the 1,500m and 11^th in the 800m. O'Connor crossed the 800m event with a time of 1:53.67 against 14 competitors, mostly NCAA Division I student-athletes.

On day two, O'Connor came across the line in the 1,500m at 4:06.32 to close out his USATF U20 experience.
