The Park University indoor track and field program was in Columbia, Mo. at the Show Me Showdown hosted by the University of Missouri.
The Pirates had some notable top five finishes along side NCAA Division I and II competition.
Rosjai Curtis continues to fair well in the big meets, as the 2025 NAIA All-American took 2nd place in her specialty events, long jump and triple jump. She hit NAIA B standards in both events with a 5.68m mark in the long jump and then an 11.83m in the triple jump.
Hope Klamm came ready in the 60m hurdles with a 3rd place finish with a 8.99 finish.
Anna Joyce is coming off of an individual qualification at the NAIA women's cross country championship and also shows the middle distance skill in the 800m. She was 5th on Friday with a 2:22.02.
Mya Charles was also within the top 10 of finishers in the 200m and crossed with a time of 25:42 for 9th.
Sam Thomas has been a good addition in short distance for the Pirates and was 4th in the 60m with a time of 6.99. He also came around in the 200m in 13th with a 22.29.
The Pirates were well represented in the men's 800m by
Palmer O'Connor and
Cody Hammond with 4th and 5th place. O'Connor ran a 1:54.90, while Hammond finished in a 1:55.27.
The A group in the 4x400m also competed well with a 4th place race in a time of 3:20.39. The group was comprised of
Shemar Caines, Thomas,
Alexander Caines, and
Chase Housh.
Park will be moving on to the NAIA/JUCO Challenge in Pittsburg, Kan. on Saturday, January 24 hosted by Pittsburg State University. See the
