The Park University indoor track & field program was split between the Bearcat Invite and the Iowa State Classic Friday and Saturday.

It was a good showing for Park with quality numbers at both venues. In Maryville, Mo., Shanai Sweeting took 10^th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.24.

Also coming in just outside the top 10 in the 60m hurdles on the men's side was Park's Erik Harken in 11^th with an 8.80 time.

Ian Walsh took on the 600 yard event in a time of 1:18.68 for 14^th.

In Ames, Iowa, the other half of Park's athletes showed out with several top five marks.

Rosjai Curtis again captured a 1^st place prize at 5.82m in the long jump and also was 2^nd in the triple jump on a distance of 12.08m.

The men's triple jump also showcased Ahmad Evans with a 2^nd place finish with a 13.21m distance.

The relay teams have been looking great this season and did not disappoint this time with 3^rd place for both the women's and men's 4x400m relay teams. Lilly Camarcho, Jonnicia Williams, Hannah Mand, and Adison Hayden came in at 4:03.69; while Shemar Caines, Alexander Caines, Palmer O'Connor, and Chase Housh were under 3:20 at 2:19.50.

The Caines' cousins were in for an exciting race in the 600 yard event, as Shemar crossed in 2^nd with a time of 1:12.18 and Alexander was one spot back at 1:12.97.

Ethan Willmann and Tom Kuehnel were also in the top five with 3^rd and 4^th place finishes, respectively. Willmann ran his race in a time of 2:29.08 and Kuehnel clocked a 2:32.87.

The Pirates are looking strong going into this weekend's Heart of America Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday in Maryville, Mo. in the Hughes Fieldhouse at Northwest Missouri State University.
