The Park University softball program is teaming up with Build A Bag Foundation in a sports equipment drive on Saturday, October 4 at 10am at the Park Softball Complex.
Build A Bag Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunity to underprivileged youth in our community by supplying young athletes with the equipment and resources to turn dreams into reality.
Head Coach
Lindsey Derry, and assistant coaches
Halle Magee and
Steve Tingler are coordinating with the Build A Bag Foundation's Executive Director and Founder Brooklynne Simbeck. Simbeck is cut from the same clothe and played softball at Pittsburg State University.Â
This is a wonderful opportunity to donate new or used sports equipment, not limited to softball gear. With upwards of 68,000 children under 18 years of age living in poverty in the Kansas City metro area, according to Build A Bag, the support on this initiative can make a difference in allowing a child the opportunity to participate in sports.
