The Park University women's outdoor track & field program was represented by
Jena Hahlbeck on Thursday in Marion, Ind. for the 2023 NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
Hahlbeck ran a season best of 2:14.59 in the 800m inside Wildcat Stadium on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University for 12th place. Hahlbeck will not advance past prelims, as only nine student-athletes advanced.
She was fractions of a second off of the No. 2 all-time mark at Park in the outdoor 800m dash of 2:14.40 that she clocked at nationals in 2022. She finished in a similar spot as last year with 11
th place in the same event.
The 2023 CSC Academic All-District member closes a well accomplished career as a two-time NAIA women's outdoor nationals qualifier. She also has four outdoor Heart All-Conference awards, two in the 800m event and two in the 4x400 Relay. She has two individual Heart Titles in the indoor 800m and outdoor 800m in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
