The Park University outdoor track & field program took on the Loper Twilight on Saturday as a Last Chance meet before 2025 NAIA Nationals. Park traveled to Kearney, Neb. to the meet host, University of Nebraska at Kearney.
No new qualifiers emerge from the event, but
Rosjai Curtis again hits the "A" standard for the NAIA National Championship in the Long Jump and hit a mark of 6.00m and placed 4th in this tune-up event for her.Â
Shanai Sweeting and
Hope Klamm placed 4th and 5th in the 100m Hurdles with times of 14.39 and 14.50, respectively.Â
Adison Hayden was entered in the 400m and clocked a 59.56 for a 6th place finish.Â
Coming in 8th and 9th in the 800m event was Lilly Comarcho and
Jonnicia Williams, who ran 2:21.49 and 2:22.75.Â
The Pirates also had three runners go 7-8-9 in the 400m hurdles.
Faith Klamm led the trio with a 1:05.37, while Hope and
Hannah Mand posted a 1:06.70 and 1:07.13.Â
On the men's side,
Keano Ferguson took 8th in the 100m event with a 10.70.
Ahmad Evans, a 2024 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Qualifier in long jump, took 3rd in the long jump at 7.15m and 5th in the triple jump at 14.35m.Â
The Pirates national qualifiers will get ready for next week's NAIA National Championships in Marion, Ind. at Indiana Wesleyan University May 21-23.Â
