5/10/2024 2:57:00 PM

The Park University Esports' Head Coach Adam Farm had an incredible inaugural year in Heart of America Athletic Conference play in League of Legends and Rocket League and is named the first-ever Heart Coach of the Year.

Both Park Rocket League and League of Legends qualified for the Heart Conference Tournaments, both hosted at Park University in the Parkade Battlegrounds.

With a 2-3 regular season record in League of Legends, the Pirates got hot at the right time and defeated No. 1 Grand View University in the semifinals and then won the championship match over Saint Ambrose University as the No. 4 seed.

He has two Heart Players of the Year in 2023-24, Zackery Fritz (Fritz) for League of Legends and Koen Barnett (vV Xero Vv) for Rocket League.

The Pirates also had five Heart All-Conference student-athletes between both titles. For Rocket League, Koen Barnett was First Team All-Conference and Kevin Fagan (itzfloofy) was Second Team All-Conference. In League of Legends, three Pirates were all-conference, which included a First Team All-Conference award for Fritz and two Second Team All-Conference selections for George Humble (Big Tringle) and Dalton Dawson-Dorrell (Proxinginbase).

Two Pirates were Heart Players of the Week as well, including Barnett and Dorrell.

In the Spring, the Pirates were knocked out in the semifinals of the Heart Rocket League Conference Tournament, but were the Heart Regular Season Champions with a perfect 7-0 record in conference play.

Coach Farm is finishing his third full year at Park and has already brought tremendous value to the program in all game titles, including appearances at NECC Valorant Nationals in 2021 and 2022 with a Fall Valorant NECC League championship in 2022.
