The Park University women's golf program took 4
th at the Battle at Winter Creek in Blanchard, Okla. at Winter Creek Golf Course and Social Club.
The Pirates in their first 54-hole tournament of the season shot a 968 on rounds of 319, 314, and 335.
Micaela Suhl, fresh off of a Heart Golfer of the Week award, moved up two spots to end the tournament with a 229 on round of 77, 75, and 77 for T6th. This is her lowest 54-hole tournament as a Pirate.
Anna Korsen placed 16
th on rounds of 74, 82, and 81 for a 237.
The remaining Pirates were all within four spots of one another, as
Kim Albertus took 22
nd,
Grace Rogers landed in T24th, and
ZaZa Cagle moved up to places for 26
th. Albertus shot a 253 with an 84, 79, and 90. Rogers and Cagle were only two strokes off one another, as Rogers shot a 258 with rounds of 89, 78, and 91; while Cagle recorded a 260 with an 84, 89, and 87.
The Pirates will turn to the Heart Conference Preview at Nicklaus Golf Club at Lion's Gate in Overland Park, Kan. on Monday and Tuesday, October 21-22.
