Fritz Named First-Ever Heart League of Legends Player of the Year, Dorrell and Humble Join All-Conference Teams

The Park University Esports' League of Legends program is almost to the conclusion of its first Heart of America Athletic Conference season with the conference tournament on the horizon. To end the regular season, the Heart has announced Zackery Fritz (Fritz) the inaugural Heart League of Legends Conference Player of the Year.

Fritz along with player of the year honors was placed on Heart First Team All-Conference. In addition, Dalton Dawson-Dorrell (Proxinginbase) and George Humble (Big Tringle) were selected to Heart Esports League of Legends Second Team All-Conference.

Fritz helped Park to a 3-2 record during the regular season, which includes a win over the No. 1 seed Vikings of Grand View University to this year's conference tournament. Park made it through their first year with a No. 4 seed in the conference tournament championship.

Fritz had 36 kills on the season with a Kill/Death/Assist (K/D/A) ratio of 4.00, but he stood out especially in champion damage ranking No. 2 in the Heart at 100,552.

Dorrell was second on Park's squad in kills with 30 for the season and had a KDA of 3.33.

Humble had the highest KDA of any Park player at 7.29 and had one of the lowest number of deaths in the conference with only seven.

The No. 4 Pirates will compete with No. 1 Grand View at 11am on Saturday, October 28 in the Heart Conference Tournament Semifinals hosted in the Academic Underground Plaza of Park University.

The championship match will then begin at 5pm after the other semifinal match between No. 2 St. Ambrose University and No. 3 Culver-Stockton College concludes. WATCH HERE
