Park University Men's Soccer extended its undefeated season after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Culver Stockton to kick off conference play. Michael Xvaier Bauer scored the lone goal of the match in the 31st minute, assisted by Marcos Fernandes III.
How it happened
Culver Stockton started the game off with one thing: lots of fouls. Six fouls, five against Culver Stockton, were called in the first 15 minutes of the contest. After six shots, including four by Park, Michael Xavier Bauer put the Pirates on the board in the 31st minute of play.
The rest of the half was quiet outside of one shot on goal by Juan Diego Covarrubias, and it went into halftime at a 1-0 score.
The second half had plenty of shots. 16 total shots between the two squads left both teams frustrated by some missed opportunities. Park didn't want to go home with just a 1-0 win, as they controlled nearly the entire last 15 minutes of play and had six shots in the last seven minutes of the second half, giving Culver Stockton no chance to try to tie the game.
The Pirates haven't lost yet in 2026 and will be looking to keep the winning streak going against Missouri Valley University.
