The No. 3 nationally ranked Park University men's volleyball program was in Breckon Sports Center against the Wildcats of Culver-Stockton College, soundly defeating the Wildcats in straight sets 25-20, 25-19, 25-14.
Park was consistently at or above 15 kills each set of the match for their 19th win of their undefeated season. They moved to 11-0 in the Heart of America Athletic Conferene, while the Wildcats are 1-16 and 0-9 of the same.
Park hit .447 and commanded the service game with eight service aces.
Adrian Figueroa led the Pirates with 11 kills, while
Leonardo Maldonado and
Murillo Silva were both in contention with the team lead with nine kills each.
Veljko Stojic had an unheard of five service aces for the match and Silva was the only other Pirate with multiple service aces with two.
Blocking was a strong suit for Park with four coming from
Moises Ortiz and three from
Mihailo Ivanovic.
It was a smooth night for the Pirate setter,
Jovan Nikolic with 34 assists to his offensive weapons.
