Box Score The (RV) Park University women's volleyball program played another team receiving votes in the NAIA, Heart America Athletic Conference foe (RV) MidAmerica Nazarene University. It was a quality match from two comparable teams, but the Pioneers edged Park in four sets, 25-21, 16-25, 18-25, 22-25.

The Pirates have fallen in three straight matches, sitting at 6–5 on the season and 2–2 in the Heart. MidAmerica Nazarene bumps up to 10–4 in 2025 and 5-1 in the Heart.Â

It was a balanced attack from the Pirates from start to finish and right from the get-go i set one, Park went on a 3–0 run with kills from
Isadora Dias,
Indi Zetic, and
Elisa Dalla Pozza for a 4–2 lead. The Pioneers overtook the Pirates with a 3-0 run to make it 9-8 and they held onto a a slim lead for the next few exchanges. Overall, it was an even match with two more lead changes before MidAmerica Nazarene got a 19–17 lead. A 7–1 run for Park turned the tide though and they led 24-20 capped off by a solo block by Pozza. The Pirates stayed in control for the 25–21 opening set victory.

The Pioneers were fired up and set two though, and began with a 7–1 run. A kill by
Daniela Gomez and a solo block by Dias tripped away at the deficit to make it 12–7. A 4–0 run by MidAmerica Nazarene restored the gap to 16–7, and Park never found their rhythm, as the Pioneers evened the match 1–1 with a 25–16 win.

The third test started off better for parts, but a 5–0 run by an American Nazarene was a tough glow and they led 8–4. The Pirates made some headway and cut the deficit down to three after a Gomez kill, 14-11. The Pioneers were able to keep the distance between themselves and Park and a 4-1 run towards the end of the set solidified the 25-18 win to go up 2-1 over Park.
Park started with a 4-1 run to begin set four, but the Pioneers countered to tie it at 7-7. Both teams exchanged 3-0 runs, but MidAmerica Nazarene then took the upper hand 14-11. A big 4-1 run by the Pirates made it 21-18, featuring a service ace by
Silvia Albani and a double-block by Florenica Churin and
Indi Zetic. Another two kills by
Teodora Tasic and
Indi Zetic were big to keep things trending Park's way at 22-21. The Pioneers were able to get back ahead by three with a 2-0 run, and despite Zetic extending the match by a point at 24-22, a kill from the Pioneers finished the match 25-22 in four sets.
Gomez had 14 kills for the Pirates, while Zetic and Dias were in double-figure kill numbers as well, 11 and 10. Zetic earned her third consecutive double-double with 15 digs in the match.
Ella Schwalm was the only other Pirate to have more than 15 at 17.Â
Jullia Alvarez and Albani split time and had an even 19 assists apiece in the match. Albani was one dig away from a double-double at nine.Â
Bailey Turner was the only Pirate to have multiple serivice aces with two.Â
Dias and
Elisa Dalla Pozza each had three blocks, while Churin contributed two block assists as well.
The Pirates will have a Homecoming as part of Park's 150th Anniversary celebration over the weekend. They will host a 7pm match against Graceland University in Breckon Sports Center. Park's Wall of Honor recipients and other distinguished alumni will have an awards ceremony at 3pm in the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel. This year, Park inducts Sherry Faulconer (Bowmar), Bob Kendrick, and Erik Bergrud.Â
