Park mimicked the Mustangs, scoring a goal in response to Morningside each half. Morningside got the scoring started at 26:38 in the first half. Before the 30th minute, Pedro Bessera laced his 5th goal of the season at 29:50 from the pass of Diego Silva.

The Pirates had seven shots in the first half compared to four by Morningside. That trend continued in the second half, as Park finished the game with 12 corners, while Morningside stayed at two for the game.

A red card on Wayde Roman for Park turned the situation dire for the Pirates, as they would play the rest of the game a player down.

It did not matter for Matias Aravena though. The senior forward lined up for a free kick outside of the Morningside box and Aravena nailed the game tying goal in the 82nd minute.
