Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Three Goal Scorers Put Park in a Great Position for Road Victory Over Culver-Stockton, 3-Nil

The Park University women's soccer program was in action in Canton, Mo. on Wednesday evening in their second Heart of America Athletic Conference contest with Culver-Stockton College. The game went the Pirates way start to finish, ending in a 3-nil shutout win.

Park moves to 3-1-1 on the year with a 1-0-1 Heart record, while the Wildcats just  had their first loss of the season at 4-1-1 with a 1-1 conference record.

The first half was only separated by one goal, as Patryica Kozak broke the silence 20 minutes in to play. Megan Everhart found the senior from Canada to put the Pirates up 1-nil.

11 shots were fired by Park in the opening half, while only two shots were managed by Culver-Stockton in each half. Eight of Park's first half shots were on goal and only one for the Wildcats.

Frankie Williams moves to 3-1-1 on the year with her third shutout of the season. Big credit to Park's backline that only allowed one shot on goal for the game, as Williams earned the save in her only opportunity.

In the second half, Park was off to the races in the 57th minute with Gina Tassotti's second goal of her career and the second goal of the contest.

Lizeth Suarez dished an assist 20 minutes later in the 77th minute to Maddy Farris to find the back of the net in the goal that put things out of reach for the Wildcats.

Six more shots for Park in the second half gave them 17 for the game, and Culver-Stockton's keeper was only able to save one of the three shots on goal in the second half.

No cards were issued in the game, while Park had double the corner kicks with six compared to the Wildcats' three.

Park will be back in action on Saturday against MidAmerica Nazarene University at 1pm at CBAC in Olathe, Kan. This game is no longer being played on the Pioneers' campus. WATCH
