Martha Linscott Qualifies for 4th Consecutive Trip to the U.S. Senior Women's Open

Park University's Martha Linscott, the head coach of Park golf, qualified for the 7th U.S. Senior Women's Open at San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, Calif. on August 21-24.
 
Linscott T3rd at the U.S. Senior Women's Open Qualifying event at The Nelson Golf & Sports Club (TPC Course) in Irving, Texas on June 18. It took winning a playoff hole at the end of the round to clinch her spot with a score of 79 (+9). Only the top three golfers of 16 competitors made the cut.

Like clockwork, Linscott has now qualified for the last four U.S. Senior Women's Open Championships.

Linscott will be in her fifth season as head coach of the Park men's and women's golf programs. Most recently, Park's men's team placed 2nd to close out the year at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship, while the women's team was in the mix as well with a 3rd place finish in the conference championship this Spring. Linscott earned the 2025 Heart Women's Golf Co-Coach of the Year award and Park's Anna Korsen was named the 2025 Heart Women's Golf Freshman of the Year.
 
The championship field in August will be made up of 120 competitors with the low 50 scorers and ties, playing out the final 36 holes after the first two rounds.
