Pirates Play at Their Best in Round Three at the Oakwood Intercollegiate for 4th, Santonsson Finishes Under Par

3/27/2025 1:01:00 PM

The Park University men's golf program was in Enid, Okla. for the Oakwood Intercollegiate held at Oakwood CC and hosted by Kansas Wesleyan University.

Park started off slower with a 304 in round one, but continued to shed double-digit strokes off their round two and three scores, 291 and 279. The Pirates took 4th place with an 874, but their third round was the lowest round of any other team for the tournament at five strokes under par.

Santonnson was in the zone by the end of the tournament, scoring seven birdies on his back-nine in round three. He continued to get better as the tournament went along, firing rounds of 75, 70, and 67 for a 212 and 3rd place. He tied his personal best with a single round score of 67, which he hit at the Virginia McCoy Invitational in October. This would be the freshman's low in a 54-hole tournament as well.

Santiago Valdes was next up for Park and was one under par for the tournament in 5th place. He played good golf throughout with a 74, 72, and 69 for a 215.

Dylan Comstock came in T-14th and registered a 220 with scores of 76, 73, and 71.

Gabe Grier and Colin Pasitney were in the four and five spots for Park, and they came in 62nd and 83rd respectively.

Grier learned from his first day of 79 and 84 in the first two rounds, and improved considerably with a 72 in round three for a 235 overall.

Pasitney was at 247 for the tournament with rounds of 89, 76, and 82.

The Pirates will be back in Parkville, Mo. for the Park Spring Classic at the Bluffs Golf Course at the National Golf Club of Kansas City on April 7-8.
