The Park University women's soccer program was scoring at will on October 8 against Graceland, defeating the Yellowjackets in Lamoni, Iowa 8-1.
Graceland got on the board first, but the Pirates scored eight scoreless the rest of the way. Starting with
Patrycia Kozak at 3:44 to tie it at 1-1, assisted by
Lilli Porsch.
Porsch then got in on the scoring herself to put Park up 2-1 at the 16:50 mark.Â
Then at 21 minutes and the 32nd minute,
Emma Le and Porsch, both unassisted, put Park up 4-1 for the half.
Kozak and Le got the brace in the second half with goals in the 66th and 70th.Â
Kylee Smith with her first goal of her collegiate career under a minute after Le's goal, assisted by
Laura Suarez.Â
Then
Annalena Penshorn put a goal in the back of the net for good measure in the 79th, assisted by
Rand Taleb and
Megan Everhart.Â
The Pirates had 23 shots with 16 on goal for the game, while Graceland had nine shots with five on goal.Â
Frankie Williams got the win between the posts, but
Delaney Duke got 26 minutes in the second half as well. Both keepers earned two saves in the contest.
