The Park University women's volleyball program defeated Mount Mercy on Friday, October 3 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 3-1.
The Pirates got down in the opening set 25-21, but came back strong 25-14, 25-20, and 25-15.
The Mustangs started off with a .379 hitting percentage, but then dropped to only a .058 for the match by the end. Meanwhile, Park was in the .200s overall, finishing with a .153.
Much momentum was garnered as the match went on and were carried by the four double-doubles, including
Angelina Rodriguez on 10 kills and 10 digs,
Indi Zetic on 11 kills and 28 digs,
Silvia Albani with 47 assists and 13 digs, and
Daniela Gomez with 16 kills and 15 digs.
Mount Mercy had 12 block assists as a team, while the Pirates were at a similar number at 10, but had an additional solo block.
