9/5/2024 9:52:00 AM

Box Score The Park University men's soccer program earned their third shutout victory of the season with a 5-Nil win over Avila University on Wednesday in Kansas City, Mo.

The Eagles are 0-3, while the Pirates have the exact opposite record at 3-0 and have scored 10 goals in three contests.

The Pirates and Eagles only were able to get off six shots in the first half, as Park had three shots on goal in the first half and Avila had one.

The first half remained relatively quiet though as both teams were held scoreless going into the second half.

In the 50th minute though, Luka Andonovski scored his second goal of the season to earn the game winning goal.

Felipe Peralta looked to have things under control with two saves in the game and earning three consecutive shutouts to start his Pirate career.

The offense continued to boom though with a goal from Francesco Esteban at '56.

Later in the '70, Esteban recorded the assist as Francisco Reyes got in on the action with a goal to make it 3-0.

The Pirates did not let up though, scoring in succession in the '84 and '88. Raimundo Palma found the net for his first goal as a Pirate off the assist from the freshman from Excelsior Springs, Mo., Mason Wartner. Samuele Pintossi closed out the game on a high note with his second goal of his career.

Park had 11 shots in the second half with 10 on goal in the second half alone.

The Pirates will wrap up non-conference play with Northwestern College (Iowa) on Saturday, September 7 at Julian Field at 2:30pm. WATCH HERE
