The Park University men's soccer program paired up with Baker University on Saturday, falling to the Wildcats 2-nil on Senior Day.
The Pirates had 10 men's soccer seniors to celebrate on Saturday, including

Adolphe Walemba,
Daniele Ciancaglini,
Francesco Esteban,
Diego Quintana,
Bradyn McIntyre,
Joao Kawasaki, and
Filip Andonovski.
The Pirates were not in jeopardy of losing their spot in the Heart, but were competing with Baker over seeding. The Pirates are now the No. 8 team in the Heart Conference Tournament with a 4-6-1 Heart record and 7-6-2 overall record, while the Wildcats move up to 5-5-1 in the Heart and 11-6-1 on the year.
This was a hard-fought contest through and through and despite four shots for Park, only one shot on goal was recorded in the first half.
The Wildcats were the first to strike late in the first half at the 38
th minute off the header from Iwan Roberts with the cross coming from Reilly Marlow-Jones.
Each side had two corner kicks in the first half.
As the second half shaped, it was much of the same story, but Park doubled their shots to eight. Despite more shots, they still only managed one shot on target, while on the flip side Baker had three shots, but added another goal in the 78
th minute to put the game out of reach, 2-nil. Jim Hendrix earned the goal with a second assist coming from Marlow-Jones.
The No. 7 Pirates await No. 8 Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo. on Wedesday, November 6 at 7pm.
