The Park University women's soccer program defeated the Culver-Stockton College Wildcats on Saturday at Julian Field, 2-0.
Park goes to 4-6-1 on the regular season with a 2-4-0 Heart of America Athletic Conference record, while the Wildcats stand at 6-5-1 and 1-5 of the same.
The Pirates were able to just edge the Wildcats in shots with seven to Culver-Stockton's five in the first half. Three of those shots for Park were on goal, while only two for the Wildcats hit the mark.
Sofia Morales brought the offensive firepower in the game with a goal in the 14
th minute on an assist from
Brock Allen.
Delaney Duke was in goal and had three saves on the day, while there was twice the activity between the posts for Culver-Stockton's Mackenzie Frizzell.
The 1-nil lead in the first half, turned to 2-nil at the 64 minute mark, as Morales claimed the brace on International Day at Julian Field. It's her first career multi-goal game at Park and her third goal of the season.
The Wildcats added another five shots to their total of 10 on the day, but none found the back of the net, as Park had a one shot advantage in the second half for a 13 shot afternoon.
Park will travel to William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa on Saturday, October 12 at 2:30pm.
