The Park University women's soccer program had another Heart matchup on the road against No. 7 Central Methodist University on Wednesday. It was a decisive victory for the Eagles with a 6-1 score over Park.
At 1-4 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, it has been difficult to get the edge in conference play for Park. The Pirates are now 3-6-1, while the Eagles have been near the top of the Heart at 4-1 and 9-1-1 overall.
There were two goals for Central Methodist within the first 10 minutes of play, at '2 and '7. In the 13
th minute, Mariana Barreto earned a hat trick before 15 minutes were on the clock. Andrea Jimenez got the assist to Barreto on the first goal and Kirstine Lykke was credited on the third goal.
It would be a tough one to bear for Park with nine shots for the Eagles in the first half to only two attempts for the Pirates. Both keepers each had one save in the half.
Central Methodist was on target and found the back of the net on four of their nine first half shots with another goal at '41. The fifth score of the half for the Eagles was a Park own goal at '41 that ended the half, 5-nil.
Park got seven shots to only three shots in the second half for the Eagles.
At the 51
st minute, Minori Saze scored to make it 6-nil with an assist coming from Suzu Narusawa.
It would not be until the '85 that 
Piper Zeigler got Park on the board with an assist from 
Emma Le, as time expired in the 6-1 contest.
Park hosts International Day on Saturday afternoon at 1pm against Culver-Stockton College at Julian Field.
