The Park University women's soccer program had a Tuesday evening match with Grand View University at Julian Field, ending in a Vikings' win, 1-nil.
The Vikings despite a .500 record on the season at 2-2-3 is now 2-0-1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Park is 4-2-1 after the loss and 1-2 in Heart play.
In a game where Park had seven more shots than the Vikings and five more shots on goal, the Vikings in the end were able to score on their first shot of the game at 7:26 by Vanessa Perez-Sandoval.
The score would hold there the rest of the contest. Park and Grand View matched up evenly with seven shots in each half, while Park had 10 shots compared to only three for Grand View in half two.
Lili Porsch, 
Mary Delgado, and 
Mikayla Knipp each had two shots in the game, including one shot on goal. 
Patrycia Kozak was Park's leader though with six shots and four shots on goal for the game.
Park has Homecoming weekend on September 29-30 and the Pirates will host Mount Mercy University at noon on Saturday at Julian Field.
