The Park University men's soccer program had an early home test against No. 21 Missouri Valley College to lead off Heart of America Athletic Conference play on Saturday night. The Vikings had enough firepower to drop Park 4-nil.
Park is now 2-2 on the season, while the Vikings are now up to 2-3 on the year.
Despite 12 shots in the first half to Park's two, the Pirates battled to keep it at a 1-0 halftime deficit. Daniel Fernandez Vila started things off for the Vikings with a goal at 41:07, an assist coming from Leul Alfageme.

Elias Eichhorn had six saves in the first half and seven for the game.
There were less shots by the Vikings in the second half at nine, but there were three more goals scored by the visiting team.
Yoshiki Igarashi was the second goal scorer at the 53:18 mark and was fed by Malik Hasanovikj for the assist.
Hasanovikj had his second assist at 67:03 to Kerim Akpinar and then Igarashi rounded out the scoring with his second goal in the 70
th minute.
The Vikings also had six more corner kicks than the Pirates in the match.
The competition will continue to pickup for the Pirates as they travel to No. 7 MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan. on Tuesday, September 19. Â
