The Park University women's soccer program went to Baldwin City, Kan. for a road Heart of America Athletic Conference matchup with Baker University on Wednesday night, ending in a 2-nil win for the home team over Park.

The Pirates' three game winning streak was halted and now Park stands at 7-3-1 and 4-3 in the Heart, while the Wildcats are sitting at 3-8-2 and 2-4-1 of the same.

The Pirates were unable to outshoot the Wildcats tonight as both teams were relatively even for the game, eight for Park and nine for Baker. There was also one more shot on goal for Baker at three compared to only two for the Pirates.

Patrycia Kozak continues to be an offensive weapon for Park with six shots fired tonight.

It was two early scores that put the game in a favorable position for the Wildcats. Starting at 10:34, Aubree Koren scored the game's first goal off of the assist from Caitlin Youles. The Wildcats had a quick turnaround and Sadie Dipman-Hayward gave her team an insurance goal at 14:33 off of an assist from Youles and Ellie Shumate.

There was not much to show for both teams' effort in the second half as Baker walked away with a 2-nil win.

Park is neck and neck with Clarke University in the Heart standings and both sides will meet on the pitch on Saturday, October 14 at 3:30pm in Dubuque, Iowa. WATCH HERE
