University on Aug. 26.

• Transfer from Missouri Valley College is the daughter of Jose Augusto and Maria Beatriz Monteiro.
• Two siblings are Giovanna and Jose Augusto.
• Father was a professional soccer player and also played volleyball, which motivated her to take up the sport.
• Selected Park for the academics and the volleyball program.
• Brazilian National Champion in 2009.
• Selected for Rio de Janeiro's volleyball team in three-straight years.
• Plans to major in Business Marketing at Park.
• Hobbies include surfing, listening to music and playing the ukulele.
