- 2020: Knipp gained quality experience in her freshman year, starting in all 11 of the matches she appeared in...The midfielder helped Park immensely with 17 shots, connected six shots on goal, and fired in two goals.
- 2021: She started in three of 13 games. She contributed one assist and sent across seven shots with four shots on goal.
- 2022: She had 15 appearances and 12 starts in 2022. She earned a career-high three goals on the year with one assist. On the season, she had 13 shots and 10 shots on goal.

- Daughter of David and Laura Knipp
- She has one older sibling, Jordyn, and one younger sibling, Abigayle
- Pursuing a degree in fitness and wellness
- Chose Park because she wanted to attend a small university that is close to home, she loved the campus, and was excited to continue her academic and athletic careers
- Previously attended North Kansas City High School
- On her high school soccer team, she earned Honorable Mention All-Conference and Second-Team All-District awards, and was named a varsity captain her junior year. She also was selected to First-Team All-Conference for cross country.
- She has served in her community by helping elementary school teachers and volunteering at senior living centers
- Mikayla enjoys reading, journaling, going to Escape Rooms, and doing puzzles
