• 2019: Started all 28 games she played in for Park…In the field, she had 41 putouts, two assists, and a 100-percent fielding percentage…At the plate, she had 74 at-bats, had 18 hits, scored eight runs, had 8 RBIs, hit three doubles, walked three times, stole one base, and had a batting average of .243.
• 2020: Started all 14 games for the Pirates...In the field, she had 18 putouts and finished the season with a fielding percentage of .947...At the plate, she had 38 at-bats, had nine hits, scored seven runs, hit two doubles, had 11 RBIs, stole one base, and had a batting average of .237. 

Personal

• Shay is the daughter of Misty and Jeff Tolbert
• She has three siblings: Madison, Makenzy, and Macalee
• Pursuing a degree in Biology
• Chose Park because it allowed her to stay close to home
• Transferred from Johnson County Community College
• Received All-Region VI, All-District D, and Female Academic Athlete of the Year 2018
• Was part of the team that placed fifth in the NJCAA DII National Tournament, and placed seventh at the NJCAA DII National Tournament
• Tolbert went to Truman High School in Independence, Missouri
• Was a member of the 2012 softball State Championship team
• She enjoys spending time with her family!
