Personal: Mallory Hughson is the daughter of Shawn and Nickie Hughson…She has two siblings Brody (12) and Griffin (10)…Hughson choose Park because she loves the small class sizes, the beautiful campus, she likes the opportunity that she gets at Park to meet and make more personal connections with other students on campus…She went to Braymer High School in Braymer, Missouri…Hughson played softball, basketball and ran track and field…She was coached by Shari Drew in softball…Hughson was named to First-Team All-District all four years, First-Team All-Region for three years, was Honorable Mention All-Conference for two seasons and First-Team All-Conference her junior and senior season…Hughson had successful careers in basketball and track and field…While at Braymer High School she was a part of Missouri Girls State Delegate, Missouri Leadership Seminar Ambassador, A+ Program, National Honors Society, A Honor Roll with Distinction for four years, All-State Academic Team softball and track and field, Class of 2016 Valedictorian, Class of 2016 President, FFA (Chapter Vice President 2016-16), Choir, Concert Band, Marching Band, Positive Behavior Support and Student Council…Outside of school she is a part of Braymer Christian Church, Braymer Christian Church Youth group and Braymer Christian Church Praise Team…Hughson has played for Liberty Venom Fastpitch was coached by Kevin Nolan…While on Liberty Venom Fastpitch is was part of the USSSA 18B Missouri State Championship team in 2015 and USSSA 18B National Championship team in 2015…She has been involved with community service with the Backpack program that provides kids in need at Braymer C-4 with food on a weekly basis, Humansville Mission Trip 2013, FFA Farmer Appreciation Chili Dinner, FFA Farmer Appreciation Breakfast, Braymer Christian Church Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, SICOM 2013 helped to make emergency food packages and Braymer Christian Church annual canned food drive and Vacation Bible School…She enjoys playing sports with her friends, spending time with her family, playing the piano and keeping up with her little brothers.
