Park University (MO)

Alain-Giress Matingou joined the Park men's soccer staff as assistant coach for the start of the 2012 season. Matingou played four seasons as a defender for head coach Efrem Shimlis making 55 appearances and 53 starts in a Pirate uniform. He also served as team captain for three seasons.

The Paris, France native, was an American Midwest Conference First-Team All-Conference selection in both the 2011 and 2010 seasons after earning Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 2009. He also earned Academic All-Conference honors in 2010 and 2011.

Matingou scored six goals for the Pirates during his tenure, including a career-high three as a senior in 2011. He helped lead Park to an appearance in the 2008 NAIA National Tournament, an AMC regular season conference title in 2010, and three consecutive appearances in the AMC Tournament championship match.

Matingou is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance.
