Park University Men's Soccer sailed right past the Mount Mercy University Mustangs in a 5-1 blowout.
Marcos Fernandes III and
Ruben Kuevi were both sensational, with Fernandes III recording a goal and an assist, and Kuevi scoring twice.
The match started with a yellow card for Mount Mercy in 57 seconds, and Park responded with an early goal from
Ruben Kuevi. Mount Mercy responded right back just seven minutes later with a goal. However, Park made sure the match wasn't tied for long and scored just 15 seconds after the Mustangs when
Ruben Kuevi got an amazing pass from
Michael Xavier Bauer.
Park added on goals in back-to-back minutes (32nd and 33rd) to make up the flood gates at went into halftime with a three-goal lead. Park took advantage a fifth time after a red card from the Mustangs' Ferreira Albuquerque that gave Park a penalty kick, and
Alfonso Vigna put it in for the 5-1 lead. Park's defense did the rest and allowed nothing from the Mustangs to clinch a 5-1 win.
