Park Women's Soccer fell to Mount Mercy University 2-0, falling to 0-5-1 for the season. Park is still looking for its first win of the season and tried to build off a tie on Thursday, but despite tying the Mustangs in shots 15-15, Park couldn't put anything in the net.
How it happened
Nothing was scored in the first half, and while each team had chances, both goalkeepers, including Park's
Frankie Williams, played a clean first half. Seven minutes into the second half, Mount Mercy finally broke through with a goal from Orla Humphrey, and added a second goal in the 77th minute off the foot of Aubrey Luck.
Park remains winless, but plays at home again against William Woods on Sept. 23 at Julian Field.
