Power of Women in Sport

Arrr & Arrr is an opportunity for Park University Athletics to showcase the athletics department and the Parkville community. Join us for an afternoon at Breckon Sports Center, as Park invites the community to come together for National Women and Girls in Sport month. This will be a special day celebrating Park University Athletics, student-athletes, and the impact of sport within our community.

Director of Athletics Kristin Gillette brings to Park Athletics the fourth annual Arrr & Arrr event set for February 21.This year's event is in conjunction with our Park basketball doubleheader in the west dome with a reception in the east dome as well. Park Athletics is excited to showcase the stories of inspirational female athletes and leaders, including Patrycia Kozak, Emma Perry, and Krishna Lee. Kozak was a First Team Heart All-Conference women's soccer player this fall and just graduated in December. Currently she has signed to play professionally.

Emma Perry played for the Park women's basketball program and was a Second Team Heart All-Conference performer in 2024-25. She continued in her master's program in nursing and participated in the distinguished Red Cross Collegiate Leadership program in the summer of 2024. 

Krishna Lee has had multiple opportunities to speak to current Park student-athletes this year and has been a life-long player and coach with over 25 years of experience at all levels; ranging from professional, NCAA, and youth levels. She was the 2022 captain of the U.S. Women's Tackle Football Team and led the United States to a gold medal at the International Federation of American Football World Championships. She is the general manager of the Kansas City Glory, a women's football team in the Women's National Football Conference, and shares her life lessons as a public speaker.

Special Olympics Showcase
A Special Olympics youth basketball team will be featured during the men's basketball game, celebrating inclusion and the joy of sport.

Raffle Winners Drawing
Raffle winners will be announced during halftime of the men's basketball game.  Don't need to be present to win.
