The Park University men's cross country program was ahead of the competition at the Larry Young Invitational at Gans Creek Cross Country course in Columbia, Mo. on Friday.
The Pirates scored 46 points with three runners in the top 10 for a second 1st place finish in two weeks. This is the first time that Park has had multiple meet wins since 2017.
Caden Peters has been unstoppable for the Pirates, as the sophomore transfer from Western Colorado took 3rd place at the event and ran a 25:39.46 in the 8k. For this performance, he was dubbed the Heart Conference Runner of the Week.
Tom Kuhenel ran at an excellent pace with his best finish in his career with 4th place in a time of 26:10.75, the second fastest 8k time of his career.
Caden Walker took 5th place for the second straight week and ran a time of 26:25.6.
William Norris just was off of a top 10 finish in 11th and ran a 26:48.96.
Jakob Johnston and
Cody Hammond were in the 27 minute range, placing 26th and 28th, respectively. Johnston crossed at 27:30.26 and Hammond was three seconds back at 27:33.24.
Jacchaeus Taylor was the seventh Pirate to cross ina time of 29:28.94 and was 71st.
