By participating in our Arrr and Arrr event, you support Park Athletics staff expand their professional development which impacts the student athlete experience.

Director of Athletics Kristin Gillette brings to Park Athletics the third annual Arrr & Arrr event set for February 20 at 4pm at the McCoy Meetin' House on the campus of Park University. Park Athletics is excited to showcase the life journeys of Brittanie Propes, Nathalia Harth, and Lindsey Derry. Brittanie is a Park alumnus from 2013 and is a former Park spirit squad member. She shares her joy about the return of the cheer program under Head Coach Madalyn Coffman and offers insight on her Park experience. Today, Brittanie is a terrific leader in the Parkville community as the Park and Recreations Director.

Nathalia Harth is in her third year as the Sports Communications Graduate Assistant, hailing from Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil. She first got introduced to Park through her husband and former forward for the Pirates' men's basketball team from 2019-2024, where she followed his footsteps to campus to pursue her Master's in Business Administration. She is a rising star in the world of sports communications and offers unique perspective as a current student and fellow team member within Park Athletics.

Head Coach Lindsey Derry for Park softball began her time at Park in 2014 with two seasons as the Pirates' starting catcher for Park Athletics Wall of Honor recipient Coach Amy Reif. Derry has made her home within Park Athletics, transitioning from student-athlete to coach. She spent 2016 as an assistant and then took the helm in 2017 and has remained since. She is the second longest tenured softball coach in Park history and is No. 2 all-time in wins at Park with 124. Her program has been a true example of using sport to serve others and earned the NAIA's inaugural Conference Commissioners Association Champions of Character Team Award in 2018-19. Derry's leadership made her a great fit for the Senior Woman Leader role she was elevated to in 2023.

These three bring great stories with their experience at Park and were perfect for the occasion of Arrr & Arrr during National Girls and Women  in Sports Month. See more details and register for free today.
