The Park University men's soccer program had their final non-conference matchup with the Red Raiders of Northwestern College on Saturday, ending in a draw 2-2.
The Pirates remain undefeated in 2024 with a 3-0-1 record, while the Red Raiders move to 1-1-3.
It was an early start for both teams, finding the back of the net. The Pirates had to come back after an opening goal from Northwestern in the 6
th minute of the game.
Diego Quintana rallied the Pirates with an excellent free kick and tied the game on a clean strike at the net.
Park stayed on Northwestern's side of the field with another goal in the '22 from Filip Anonovski to make it 2-1. Jacksyn McIntyre created the goal scoring opportunity for the senior and earned the assist.
Both keepers had two saves in the first half and the shots were relatively even at six and five for the Red Raiders and the Pirates, respectively.
Northwestern came out with a good counter in the second half to equalize at '50, 2-2.
After that both defenses entrenched themselves in and did not relent another score for the remaining 40 minutes.

The Pirates doubled their own shots and their opponents shots in the second half, but were held scoreless to end the day for the draw.
The Pirates also had plenty of opportunities to get it in the box with seven second half corner kicks.
Besides both of Park goal scorers with two shots on goal each, Jacksyn led Park with five shots with three on goal.
The Pirates have their Heart of America Athletic Conference Opener against Clarke University at Julian Field on Saturday, September 14. It will be Faculty Appreciation Day at Julian Field with a Spring Scholar-Athlete Recognition happening at halftime of the women's game, around 12:45pm.
