The Park University women's soccer program were back on the pitch at Julian Field to begin the 2024 campaign with College of Saint Mary (Neb.) on Saturday evening. The defense was the storyline for both teams, as a nil-nil draw was the final.
Saint Mary had two prior games heading into Saturday, while the Pirates opened the season, moving to 0-0-1 and the Flames now stand at 0-1-2.

Give credit to the backline for only allowing six total shots, quenching the Flames in the first half with only two shots.
The Pirates more than doubled the shots of the Flames in each half, eight and 13 respectively, for a total of 21 for the match. Of their shots eight were on target.
New to Park is
Megan Everhart, who led the charge of the forwards with six shots with two on goal. Alivia Schade was in goal for Saint Mary and kept her team in it with eight saves for the match.
