Park University is proud of the 87 2023-24 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete awards earned by our student-athletes, announced throughout the year by the national office.
Student-athletes are eligible for this award achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
Park's men's soccer team set a new program high with 12 NAIA Scholar-Athletes, while the men's volleyball team also set a program high with eight scholar-athletes, which was tied for the most of any men's volleyball program in 2024.
The Pirates' women's volleyball team has had two consecutive years of 15 NAIA Scholar-Athletes, tying the record set in 2022.
