Park University's softball program split a pair of games in Lamoni, Iowa with Graceland University on Saturday, falling in game one 2-5, but responding in game two for a 4-1 win.
Park is now 12-10 on the year and 2-4 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Graceland just has the one game advantage in conference play at 3-3 and are 16-11 on the season.

Park got behind early in game one with a 3-0 Yellowjacket lead through the first two innings. Graceland gambled with a sacrifice bunt with one out and it panned out with a two-out single to score two runs in the first inning.
The Pirates were quiet until a fourth inning solo home run from
Chloe Gilbert to make it a 3-1 game.
The Yellowjackets were quick to get two runs back after their second home run of the game and an RBI double for the 5-1 lead.
Lauren Fiene went a complete game, but falls to 4-5 on the year.
Brooke Conner had two of Park's four hits for the game and she brought in the final run of the game in the seventh inning on a single in the 5-2 game.

Fortunes were reversed in game two, as Park got on top first with two runs in the top of the first inning on a
Kal Day single to center field.
Shelby Sanders got the inning going with a double and would come up big again in this contest.
Dakota Rau was tough on the Yellowjackets and only one unearned run would come in to score in the bottom of the first inning on one hit and one error.
No runs would score for either team for the next three innings. Rau only allowed two hits and one walk in her complete game with three strikeouts. On the season, she moves to 5-5 in her pitching decisions.
Sanders' name would come up again in the fifth inning with a two run home run after
Caroline Riffer singled with one out in the inning. Sanders was the only one to have a multi-hit game and the only Pirate to earn extra-base hits.
Both teams had two errors for the game, making three errors for Park in the series. Park is having some uncharacteristic errors with an average of two errors per game in the last two conference series.
Park will be back on the diamond in their next Heart series with Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan. at 4pm and 6pm.
