The No. 3 nationally ranked Park University men's volleyball program was topped by No. 5 The Master's University on Friday night, 23-25, 17-25, 15-25.
This was the first meeting between these two programs and The Master's also joined Park in the semifinals last year on the other side of the bracket.
This is Park's first loss on the year at 5-1, while the Mustangs are 4-0.
It was a close set one, but the Master's edged the Pirates in the end, 25-23.
The Pirates looked to regroup in the final sets, but the Master's were on their game, hitting .818 in the final set, while the Pirates were at -.200 in set three. The Pirates rallies would come up short in the remaining sets, 17-25 and 15-25.
The Pirates conclude their weekend's matches with Arizona Christian University on Saturday night at 8pm (CT) in Glendale, Ariz.
